Where to Register?

Where to Register?

I like everything everywhere and don't know where to register. My family lives way out east and my FI's family lives in the Bayshore area. What are your opinions on what's most convenient, what has the best deals ect.

Would it be weird to register at both Macy's and Fortunoff?

Well, there's a Macy's in Bay Shore and out east near the Hamptons. So I would definitely do there...Fortunoff's would be a trek for either, so I don't know if I would do there. We liked their stuff, but it was far since our families are in Suffolk.

We did Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond, because they give cash back for returns!

I registered at macys and BB&B, because half of my guests are NYers and half live in MA. So, fortunoff wouldn't work for them so well. I like doing one dept store and BB&B so you can also get bedding and towels. That is BB&B specialty anyways.

I would say Macys and either BB&B or Lines and things

Just out of experience, I really liked BB&B. If something is on your registry and you return it with or without a receipt you get cash back. As for macys or fortuneoff, you cant go wrong with either one.

We registered at Fortunoffs and Williams-Sonoma. The majority of people who bought off our registries ordered online rather than go to the store.

This is your one time to do whatever you want so go for it! So far FH and I are registered at Macy's and BBB. Shop around and compare prices on different things you like...there is sometimes a big difference. For example, my china is almost $60 more at Macy's than at BBB, so obviously we registered for that there. We will probably register at Crate & Barrel too.

I agree about BB&B. Getting cash back is sweet!

You can have more than one registry I had crate and barrel (everything on it was purchased), macy's (everything on it was purchased), and fortunoff (almost all was purchased but I am still missing a few things like soup bowls from my good china)

i registered at crate and barrel, fortunoff's and bed, bath and beyond...but i don't think it would be weird to register at both fortunoff's and macy's..although they kind of have similar stuff

You can register at multiple placed. A lot of my out-of-town friends and family liked BB&B because they are all over plus online - at the 20% coupon.

I had a registry at bloomies, but ended up pulling it because they didnt have much of a selection and they only carried a few pieces of the china set I wanted.

I would register at Bed Bath and Beyond and FOrutnoff's I love that store. It is fine to register in 2 places. i have had bad experiences with Macy's registries though. Not having anything in the store that was registered for
