i had so many weddings in 2006 alone...lets say 10 in a matter of two months yes every weekend...we were broke that year so the only hall i went to go see was marina del ray...where we picked to get married becuase i saw all the other ones already and none of them gave me the it factor

I loved, loved, loved the outdoors at Crescent Beach Club -- I so wanted to get married on the beach, but I knew I'd be miserable if it rained!
I'd love to take the beach of the crescent, pair it with the indoor views from Venetian Yacht club, and include a glass enclosed ceremony on the beach, and there would be my perfect place.
That being said, I love the Thatched Cottage, love the water view and grounds from in and outside, and the fact that their indoor ceremony room has water views.

AWWWW I LOVE where we are getting married too.. I have to tell you Shari...I was there for a wedding when I was 18 and it was such a SURPRISE, I said to my mom... I would love to get married here one day, the swans were swimming the grounds were magnificent and ten years later.... it was a no brainer, it is not a typical catering hall, more 'European' I love it!! Good call

I didn't visit this place because it's about 2.5-3 hours away from here, and the site fee is $9000 on Saturday and $5500 on Sunday

... but it is GORGEOUS and exactly what I wanted. The room I picked at the Fox Hollow is the closest I could get and I am very happy with my choice ... but this place ... wowwwwwwww......

It's called the Onteora Mountain House and it is in upstate NY ... amazing.
