Mine was at The Plaza in Manhattan in 1986 and I went solo!

Well, I actually chauffeured (sp?) my one best friend and her date and my other best friend who was also dateless. BIG FUN!!

Afterwards I think we went to a party on the Upper West Side - had to pee behind a dumpster (can't even remember if this was me or my solo friend, I just know it's part of our 'prom story'), came back to Queens and we were going to hang out in a terminal at LaGuardia and watch planes ( ) but at the time the parking lots were meters and we had no change!!!!

Random enough for y'all??

Re: Where was your HS prom and what was your dates name?

Mine was at Jerico Terrace. My date's name was Mark. He was just a friend - neither of us had any plans for going so one day he said, 'We're going to end up going to the prom together' and so we did. Very romantic. We were in a limo with his friends - who I knew, but wasn't really friends with. My best friend didn't go b/c our other friend (her's really) had told her she was fine w/ my best friend dating the other girls ex - but CLEARLY she was not ok with it, so my BF decided not to go. So that s*cked a lot!
We went to the after-prom party at the HS for a little while and then went to the beach. Yeah, that was cool, my date's friends went off to make out or whatever with their dates, so me and mine sat on a lifeguard chair and chatted.
The next day, we all went to Great Adventure - once we got there my date went off with his friends and I went off with mine and we met up at the end so he could drive me home.

Mine was at the LI Marriott in Uniondale and my date's name was Eric. Waste of time and money. Nice 80's bow right? (By the way, I weigh about 30 pounds less now than I did then)

Re: Where was your HS prom and what was your dates name?

Mine was at the Huntington Townhouse and my date's name was Jay. We went to NYC to Dangerfield's Comedy Club and then to the beach the following morning.

ETA: My Junior year I dated a senior (LOSER), John, and it was ALSO at the Huntington Townhouse

My freshman year in college I dated a senior from my high school (I guess that made me the loser, but he ended up being a TOTAL LOSER/SCUM) and that was ALLLSSSSSO at the Huntington Townhouse
