Where were you proposed to?

at rockefellar center in NYC- with the tree in background and next to the angles- exactly the palce of our first christmas pictures- 4 and half years ago!

On the 50 yard line at Texas Stadium in Dallas. I gave him tickets to a Cowboy game for his bday since he is a huge fan. We went to Dallas and he proposed during a stadium tour. The tour guide got pictures of the whole thing, as he told her ahead of time.

I can't believe I didn't answer this already...

Last July 17, 2004 By the fountain in front of the Pantheon in Rome... the historical significance... the only building to survive the Barbarian invasions of Rome. He didn't know that though, I'm the history teacher

Plan A- He wanted to do the cupola on top of St. Peters. Graffitti too gross.

Plan B- Trevi fountain- too crowded, too many pickpockets.

At home, after FH called my dad to ask him if he could marry me! Not the MOST romantic, but very touching that he asked my dad!

FH wanted to make a huge ordela out of asking me, however I absolutely HATE surprises and we had been together 5 years... so he new that any little 'strange' occurance would tip me off.

It was Nov 7, 2004.... and very mild. We spent the day going to Costco. On the way home he asked 'isnt this around where amy used to live?' and I said yea..Ill show you but I couldnt get into the turning lane in time so I said I would show him next time we drove by. We got back to his house and I took a nap while he played grand theft auto...I had some school stuff to do so we headed back towards my house. I stopped for gas and he said 'it is so nice outside...why dont we drive down my the lake'(ronkonkoma) so I said sure. When we got there I wanted to get out and we were walking on the beach and he said he had a confession to make and that he brought me here to tell me something. so I start flipping thinking something is wrong..a true cynic...and he got one one knee and said some stuff which I dont remember and asked me. I was laughing and crying and HITIING him bc he had surprised me. I asked who else knew and then yelled at him some more. Then he dropped the ring in the sand (it was PITCH black so I couldnt even see it) thankfully he found it and we went back to the car where he told me his original plan was to stop by my friend amy's old house where we had our first kiss...'I COULD HAVE BEEN ENGAGED LIKE 5 HOURS EARLIER!!!!' was my response. LOL

Hey fellow history teacher!!! Me too!! Proposed to on JULY 18th 2004 (wierd) in ROME!!! But, we were outside the coliseum at night time.

Plan A - Was in Venice the second night we were there, but he couldn't find a good spot (dumpster, people walking by, talking etc.)

Plan B - Gondola (too cliche he thought)

Plan C - Balloon ride outside of Rome, but too windy they weren't running it for the day)

So needless to say, on the second to last night we were there - it was the Coliseum at night (good choice - although sometimes I think of all the deaths and stuff!)

At the duck pond on Merrick Rd. in Bellmore in the gazeebo. It is the first place DH kissed me on our first date 2 years before.

We were going out to dinner but before we went to dinner, we went to the Brooklyn Promenade and that's where he proposed. It was cold that night (Nov. 30th, 2002 the day before our 7th year dating anniversary) and afterwards we went to dinner -- I cound't eat, I was too excited

Ours was on Christmas Eve Day in our partially constructed summer house on Fire Island!!!! We were visiting the conctruction site.

We then share a bottle of champagne. That bottle is now in a Time Capsule that is buried in a wall of the house.
