Those that live with FH will you stay where you are after getting married? why? why not?
Those not living with FH where will you guys live either before wedding or after?
We live together in Forest hills and love it!!!! Accessible to job and friends/family on LI but also close to NYC which we love,.
We'll probably stay here after the wedding for a but but ultimatley want a house in Mineola/Manahsset/Roslyn,/Searington- western Nassau

FH and I both own our seperate places. Mine is in Forest Hills, Queens and his is in Farmingville.
Since he owns a house I'm selling my 1 bedroom co-op. Even though my apt. is biger than the space he has in his house.
You see he owns the house but he bought it from his mother (FMIL). She occupies the main part of the house and he built an apt. in the basement. FMIL wanted to movedown to the basement but we aren't doing that to a 66 year old woman. We are going to stick it out in the basement and use the $$ i get from my apt plus all the $$ we save and put it towards a downpayment on another house.
It'll def. take getting used to on my end in terms of commute, location and space....but it's what we have to do.
The other alternative is if my apt. doesn't sell we'll live in Forest Hills Mon-Thurs. and go to Farmingville Fri-Sun.

I like in Brooklyn right now. When we get married we are going to look for houses in Nassua. I love living in Brooklyn but I do not want to be raising a family there. I see all these women who are preggers and no one but me askes them if they want to sit. Or they are carrying children on the train. It just seems like its dangerous and too much. I will miss it but I also grew up on LI and its where I belong eventually.
Oh yeah and parking ***** in Brooklyn!!

We are most likely goign to live in my house. I have a house and he still lives with his parents. After that we will try to figure out if this is the best place for us to live as newlyweds and through having kids and all.

right now we both live at home...i think we are going to get an apartment right before the wedding and hopefully save up for a house...we're hoping somewhere in the sound beach/rocky point area..im def a north shore girl :)

i live with my mom and fh has a house. we both live in bklyn. after the wedding i will move in with him. we'll be stayin in NY for about 5-6 yrs after then we're ooking to move down south

well we each live witho ur parents..in the bronx..we are only a few blocks from each other so its not bad. we are looking for an apartment but its so hard....and expensive. for these crap apartments they want an arm and leg. we cant afford to buy anything yet but one day i hope.

FH bought a condo in Long Beach 2 years ago. So we are going to stay here for about 2 more years.

We dont live together now and right before the wedding we will move in together. I am hoping that we stay where I am living now since I dont want my son to have to change schools with all the other changes he will have.

We are both in suffolk, currently not living together....FH wants to buy a house before we get marry....with what money I don't know but will see what happens!

Now we live in PA and are in the process of looking for a house out here. But i tell FH all that the time that i want to move back to NY. It's only been 6 mos but I miss my family and friends
