we currently live in woodhaven. i really like my neighborhood. we are 2 blks from my in laws and that is such a big help. also, close to work and all our friends. we have started house hunting although we are going to wait until after the wedding to buy. I want to stay in this area.

ok we live in buffaol.... it's cheap as hell for housing but the winters are harsh so we are going to decide where we will be buying pur house when he gets back from his deployment... so we shall see if we stay in this frozen wasteland or move back to LI

We live in Florida and will definitely not live here in the future. We want to move back up north-NY,NJ, maybe MA. Depends on where the best job prospects are once I graduate

we're the opposite- visit FH's parents in Boynton Beach a few times per year and cannot wait to retire to Florida

Well - here's my pathetic little story lolz. FH and I built a room in my parents basement..when we first had it we were sooooo thrilled, it was like we were buying a house..but we were young and it was fun - now - not so much lolz..we've definately outgrown it..

So what we're planning on doing is re-doing the apt upstairs and moving in there after the wedding...it's not our ideal situation but we're calling it our 5year plan..the rent will be really cheap especially in comparrison to other apts over here, and it'll give us the opportunity to save ..and I'll love having my mother being so close while I am pregant..I am the biggest mommys girl alive!!

oOo we live in Middle Village, Queens. I'd like to buy a house as close as possible because I grew up here and like I said, I'm a big mommys girl so I'd like to stay close to her. Plus FH and I both grew up without grandparents, and we'd love our parents to be a big part of our childrens lives

We both live together in Manhattan...I love it here, so hopefully we'll stay for at least the next 2 years. MY plan is to stay here until a few months after our wedding, then hopefully we'll have enough money to buy a house or condo in Long Island, but close to the city...maybe Great Neck?? FH might have different plans...but it'll work out how I want it!!!

FH & i both live at home with our parents in central Suffolk...we would lovvvve to be able to stay on LI, but we're really not sure if we'll be able to. For now, we'll probably get an apt right before we get married, continue to save and then really start making decisions on where and how we will buy our own home...a home is the ultimate goal

We will probably be staying in Queens for awhile. Right now we both live @ home in Queens.

But honestly, I hate NY, and I can't wait to leave. Something with a warmer climate and no snow would be great. Ideally I would like to live in N. Carolina, but FH isn't too crazy about that. We are also thinking Cali. I don't know. All I know is I don't want to stay here, especially when I think that we will never be able to afford a house here...not the kind that I want. Wayyy to expensive

right now we rent in Coram but we both are south shore people and want to move back down....However we just looked at MLSLI and What THe Hell are these people thinking!!!!!

We woudl really like to buy but before th wedding cause with my debt to income ratio I might hurt out mortgage interest rates damn sallie mae

We live together right now, also in Forest Hills, Queens. We plan on staying here permanently. We are renting a 3 bedroom right now, and in a few year I intend to buy a house, hopefully in the gardens!

we live together now. we'll prob stay for about 6 months and start looking to buy something that winter after our wedding. we're hoping to save like crazy people for the wedding and use gifts to get our downpayment started for the house.

Right now FH and I don't live together. We're both in Rockland County (I am in Tappan (all the way at the Southern end) and he is in West Haverstraw (all the way at the Northern end)) but because we're both going to be working in New Jersey in a few months we're going to move to Westwood (which is in Bergen County). We're actually visiting the complex we like to get all the paperwork straightened out and pick out an apartment tomorrow. We really like the town a lot so our hope is that we'll be there for about two years and then when I do my PhD we'll have to move to where I'll go to school.

We live in Suffolk right now. Great for me, near my family and work. Not so great for FH. He moved from queens and misses it. I think we will buy a house in this area after we get married.

We live together right now in FH's dad's house. FH's dad moved out to live with his new wife and converted their once one family house into a two family. FH's brother lives on the first floor and basement and we live in the second floor and attic (which was completely redone to be a real living space and not a storage type attic. After we get married we hope to buy the house from FH's dad and turn it back into a one family... we live in Flushing and where we live there are still excellent schools and it's a very nice area so we feel lucky to be able to get the house for a MUCH better price than it would really sell for!

living in the phila. area and we'll probably buy our first house here within the next couple of years. i'd eventually love to be back on Long Island (for family's sake) but it's so much more expensive and i can't imagine spending that much on a house there!
