Whew - we're getting some NO's!

We got 7 responses today - 4 of them were No's! I needed some no's all 8 of my responses Saturday were yeses! (And all the No's were from his side too! Horrible of me - I know!)

christy, paiz and the other April girls - how are you're responses coming in?

UH oh now I am feeling really bad. Most of FH's family are responding No. He's going to get upset. And his Mom - I know it - she will cry. His Aunt and uncles all said no and all his cousins except one said no. Yesterday I was happy about all the no's but now I feel bad.....

April, how many NO's came from his family?
And how many total did he invite?

His family - immediate family + aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews - total 24. Of that so far we got 13 No's. I just called him and he says he's ok but I can tell he's feeling bad. Well, I have a HUGE family (tons of cousins) and they are all saying yes so hopefully they can help him feel part of the family. I know it's not the same but I am desperate for a bright side here.....!

So Liz I may be actually hitting those numbers! I'll keep you posted!

Darn-I read the beginning of our post and was happy and now I feel bad. Just wait it out and see..things change everyday. Mary - you being in acct'g will appreciate this - Lou and I kept running stats and percentages as we were getting in responses. I think our first 40 were 99% yes! We got so nervous. We had invited 270 - but wound up with 175 (we knew there would be a lot of no's from older relatives from out of state who you just have to invite and have never even met) - all the no's came in the last week/days and even after the deadline. I am still waiting on 8 no's!! lol

Thanks Denise, Rachel! I can always count of you guys! I will tell FH......

Denise - I am doing the SAME thing with cumulative % daily! LOL! Today brings me to 78% yes and 22% no! I estimated 85% yes but will be OK with 80%. I just wish it wasn't ALL his family! Would love to share the no's and yeses equally, ya know?!

I can't believe 8 people never responded to you AT ALL?!

Hey Mary - I feel so bad for him but your big family will make him feel loved.

We are hoping for alot of no's but are very worried that there won't be many. Only a few are out of town but all the rest are close by. I didn't send out STD's b/c in all honesty I didn't want everyone to save the date. lol How horrible is that?

Mary - yep 8 people. One is my mom's first cousin and both of his sisters came to the wedding. He didn't rsvp to my brother's either so I wasn't surprised. I saw him a couple weeks ago for the first time since the wedding and he was really cool to me. Even gave me a couple compliments...but never once mentioned the wedding or even said congrads. He did buy me a beer at the bar!

Well we invited around 130, need 100 and got about 10 no's.. just hoping we get some more just don't want to be under 100! You can't win! :)

I guess I am the odd ball here- I get sad when we get nos. Granted I definetely didn't want to invite every single person that we did (family obligations etc...) but I still hate getting the nos.
