I'm using a basket, it's almost like a picnic basket, but it has an opening at the top where the handle is. I'm going to make it nice w/ some ribbon.

I'm making a card box. The ones for sale online are ridiculously expensive, and I thought the prices to rent them were pretty obscene as well.
I bought a really cute hat box at Home Goods (do you guys have that store in NY? I have lived in Boston so long I can't remember). I'm covering it in white silk-like material and cutting a hole in the top. The whole project is going to cost me about $20. $12 for the hat box, $8 for the ribbon and material.

cardbox because i am not walking around to all my guests and hoping they will be nice and drop them in!
i am having one custom made from a lady on ebay. she is matching the bridesmaid dress fabric exactly (i sent her a swatch) and it has a hidden opening and will fit all my cards.

I plan on making a cardbox. I am so happy now that I have my FH to carry cards when we go to weddings (I've learned only to buy moneyholders) because I always end up losing them or spilling food all over them!

I decided NOT to do the cardbox...I dont know it doesnt sit right with me. I'd rather receive the cards into my or FH's hands and then pass it on to my mom.
