Re: which bill levkoff dress
we're using #966... i was worried about how the tissue taffeta would show up in pictures! (i didn't want it to look too shiny..)

Re: which bill levkoff dress
My BM's are in 966 (the champagne dress). Just some advice...speak with the salon/shop seamstresses before you order it and see what they plan to do with the train/sash. The bridal shop is giving us a heck of a time trying to figure out what to do with it bc it's super long (you'll see when they actually come in, in the right sizes how long they are..very long.) They don't want to do a bustle bc in the past it doesn't look the same on all the girls and a lot of brides complain about it. But I will say the dress is gorgeous! Just figure out how they plan to alter it before you order it.

Re: which bill levkoff dress
I'm using 557 in sable w/ a camel sash.....I think the lighter colors are the ones that look more shiny with the taffeta.
Did you see the taffeta on another dress style in rose? (since I know the sample doesn't come in that color) it would be good to see it in person, b/c it can definitely look a little different than on the website (like at first I liked the burnt orange color on their site, but seeing it in person, it was too metallic looking for my girls).
I have a pic of me wearing the sample (camel w/ a sable sash) in my dress album.

Tissue taffetta gets very wrinkled
so does matte taffetta, I'm staying far away from all taffetta's for that reason!!

I am bias, I am using #557.
My BM's all said it was more comfortable and light...
I am using 966 and have seen it on people of various shapes and it always looked good

#557
They're bustling the trains, and attaching a tiny snap on the underside of the sash so it can be bustled as well, but still come to the floor. I LOVED the way it looked bustled, still so elegant. I've seen pics on LIW where both the dress & sash were hemmed but I didn't like it at all
