Which Florist are you using? and Why?

You don't understand I am soooo frustrated. I am having such a hard time picking a florist. I have been to them all. I don't know why I am being so picky. Please HELP ME.

I am working w/Robert @ Pedestals & would not have worked with anyone else! He is filled w/so many ideas & is so easy to work with...he is far from pushy & will work with every budget that you give him...

Did you try signature which is right by national wholesale florist I believe they are right before or right after. Leese is using them...you can FM her for details or jsut do a search...she had pictures up awhiel ago, she said they were cheaper than national.

Missy - here is the official link, and yes they were cheaper than everyone and the quality was amazing. I took home the sample and even the tulips lasted forever!

I used the Milleridge Florist. They were great to work with & they do weddings outside of the Milleridge as well.

I second George! He quoted me the lowest price snd does amazing work! Suezbride just used him for her wedding and her flowers were beautiful.

I chose Signature not only for their price, but also because the flowers were beautiful. George is really personable and was willing to make a sample for me without any $$ down.

I haven't seen my sample centerpiece yet because the flowers I am choosing are not available yet but Carmine (the owner) is very nice and is very passionate about flowers.

I believe they have also been open since 1924.

I am booking Pedestals this week, I found them to be very professional and attentive to detail. I am working with Phil and he has been very helpful.

I had shopped several other florists and found Stefans to be very very overpriced. I did not like Flowers by Brian if you would like more on that you can FM me.

I too wanted flower Michele, but they were booked. This has been a very sre subject with me. I tried quite a few florists (all who are very popular on here) and had disappointing results when it came to the samples. I finally met with 'With all my Heart' in Pt Jeff and I've been extremely happy with my final CP. They even did a sample bouquet. They really took my ideas and ran with them.

I used Robert @ pedestals and had an intersting experience. He seemed really nice when I first dealt with him, but when I had a probelm day of-noone was there to assist me and I got alot of slack from Rob, he flat out lied to me about several things. I would e-mail me if you ae dealing with them so you know what you are dealing with. Although my flowers were pretty, it was just a weird experience.

I'm using Simply Stems. They do beautiful work at a very reasonable price. They quoted me half the amount that Pedestals did.

We used Claudio from Colonial Florist in Bellmore...i loved the flowers and they were great to work with!

I am using my Dad. He's a florist at the Riverhead Flower Shop.

Lucky to have that ONE thing covered. LOL

Another vote for Flower Michelle! I went to 15 plus florists and John was the only one that I liked. Flowers by Brian also wouldn't work with my budget. They kept insisting that I pay 650 dollars for them to decorate an arch Meanwhile, everyplace else was hundreds less for an arch. I also wasn't impressed with my arrangement. Pedestals was way too pushy. La Blossom gave me one of the highest estimates. I guess we didn't click that well for me to get a better price. National Floral also rubbed me the wrong way. Glad to hear that I wasn't the only one that felt the way I did about the same vendors. I would say finding a florist was harder than finding a reception hall. Good luck!

i am using laurie from masters & co located in rockville centre.

i also went to flower michelle, burtons and NFW and wasn't impressed with ANY of them. their prices were way too high for what they offered. anna wanted to charge me $400 for 20 fishbowls---WITHOUT the flowers!

laurie's prices are amazing ($700 less than those mentioned above) and she throws in FREE all of the men's corsages, cake flowers, throwing flowers, cake table flowers, arrangements for the bathroom, flowers for seating card table, decorated baskets for the bathroom and petal cones. she'll even fill the petal cones and arrange the baskets free!

i can't say enough good things about her--we talked for an hour while i was there and i felt so unpressured. she helped me figure out what i needed, not what she wanted me to buy.

FM me for any other details, but you can't beat Masters!

I wish I could post my estimate from LA blossoms, she charged me for everything (even a bag of petals) with the exception of the cake decoration. It was the most expensive quote I got
