Which idea do you like better?

Original post by glinda_goodwitch

I'm debating on what to throw at the ceremony: bubbles, rose petals (heart shaped), or both. If I did both, I would put petal cones on the aisle seats, and bubbles on the rest.

I want to do rose petals, but I hope my church will allow them. Or I may not ask at all, is that bad?
I also got a great idea on this thread to have some people ring bells. Sorry I forget who I stole that from! BUt I plan to have my aunts and little ones ringbells, and the rest throw petals.

I didn't have any problems with the bubbles staining my dress or the bridesmaids' dresses.

Both are nice, I did bubbles, b/c the church didn't allow rose petals.

Me, too, on both accounts.

Plus, we went to Toys R Us and bought the real bubbles , slapped on some labels that we made with the same template as our save the date magnet, and handed those out. Everyone took them for their kids, and the kids at the wedding loved them! Plus, we got some great pics of the kids blowing bubbles in front of us and the BP at the church.

Rose petals all the way - bubbles never do what they are supposed to do! The wind has them popping and floating off and people have a hard time opening those little bottles.

I vote rose petals also!- It looks so pretty in pictures when the photographer catches the roses petals in the air falling on you!

Rose petals, but I don't think I'm allowed to have them where I'm getting married........
