Which invite are you afraid will ruin your wedding?
Original post by lilangel
Ok I know we all have that one family member that we have to invite because they are family but you are so afraid of how they will act at the wedding. I am just interested on who it is for everyone.
For me its my grandmother reason being is that she is a diabetic and at my cousins first birthday party she truly pulled out her kit and injected her insulin right there at the table where everyone was sitting. Need I say more?
Who is it for you and why?

Pretty much everyone from my father's side. They are soooo ghetto and they are mostly from outta state so they have no idea of how to dress, act and what to give as a gift at a LI Wedding...awesome
My grandmother is on my father's side so I understand

We only had one and they weren't invited to begin with. I got a little uncomfortable with not inviting them because the husbands brothers and wives were. But it wasn't my choice and I couldn't convince DH and IL's otherwise. It was 2 cousins. They can't anywhere without their kids (loving nicknamed the hit squad) and then mking idiots of themselves for drinking too much. Even if we had invited them and made it an adult only reception they would have brought the kids.

OMG it seems like alcohol is the big reason we are dreading invivting some of these guests!! i have to say, it's the same for me..
one is my sister, who is 22 and quite the drinker. i am worried she will end up making out with her date (that she has never met!) in some corner... the other is a friend of ours (that, of course, my sister used to date) who also loves to get sh*t-faced and cause a scene... he does it at FH's bar all the time, why should our wedding be any different?
i like him, but i almost hope he says no...
My brother, whom I love dearly, did that exact same thing at a wedding. He was a GM in a family friend's wedding and he was fully MAKING OUT with the the bride's sister, the MOH (whom he never met before the wedding) on the dance floor in front of my parents and her parents.
How embarassing! I thought my mother was going to die! THEN, to make it worse, at the day after brunch, the bride's parents announced they were up all night listening to their daughter and my brother because they shared a wall at the hotel. How disgusting! To this day, my brother thinks its hilarious. Pig.

Ok not for nothing ... grown or not my parents would have knocked that door down and then knocked me in the head... then knocked him in the head lol.
