Which music download service??

I just went to try to copy my files from my iPod back to my puter and it turns out that HALF of my 2600 songs have disappeared. I used to download from Limewire, but once my puter started crashing, I stopped.

I think one of the files on the iPod was corrupted, which would explain why half of my songs (including some that I PAID for from iTunes!!) are now missing or unworkable.

I have the list of all 2600 songs, so at least I know what they are to download them again.
Which service is best if you are paying per month for it? I know there's Rhapsody, Napster, iTunes, and now Yahoo has this service.

I would stick to iTunes, but it's .99 a song which considering I have 1300 songs to replace, that's too much!!

i believe napster has unlimited download for 13.99 (i could be wrong) but i would check

I used to use WinMX but there was too many incomplete files, which drove me crazy.

I tried BearShare, and I couldn't even get it to run on my puter, even with adjusting the firewall accordingly.

I have spyware checkers, so it's not a matter of using a free download service, but after having the iPod serviced once, and now with half of my songs disappearing for no reason, I'm leary!!!
