WHICH POTS DID YOU REGISTER FOR?

I registered last night but I couldnt figure out what pots were good.

I think ALL-CLAD is the best right?

Which ones did you register for?

ALL CLAD at BBB had a 10 piece set for $700 is that too much money to ask from people??

we registered for the Caphalon set. 10 pieces for $600 and it's just a step below all clad.

My sister registered for the all clad though and she loves them!

All Clad and Calphalon are both great. If you register for the $700 ones people may chip in together to get them so its not like no one will buy them for you.

Whatever you get- stick with something sturdy with riveted handles and cood heat conduction in the bottom.

We got Wolfgang puck stainless a while back and they are great. The only thing is, we had a gas stove then and now we have electric. I would rather have a non-stick with electric stove. something else to concider.

I registered for basic Calphalon set and a bigger Le Creuset set because I use Le Creuset a lot more than regular pots and pans.

All Clad..

I registered the pieces I wanted seperately so it wouldn't be too expensive for one person to buy the whole set...something to consider

thats usually the price. MrsBartonToBe registered for those & LOVES them!

I registered for farberwear because I can't bring myself up to having $700 pots. i'd rather have more expensive bedding or dinnerwear ir glasses....stuff like that. not to mention the fact that i stink at scrubbing grease off pans!

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 10-Piece Cookware Set which I think is a great value for the price.

I got Calaphon Tri-Ply Stainless. They're pricey, but less than All-Clad. All-Clad is great stuff, but I figured I like to cook, but I'm no Bobby Flay () and didn't need to go that high end. JMO!

Re: WHICH POTS DID YOU REGISTER FOR?

I registered for the Calphalon Contemporary stainless steel with the clear lids and I added some non-stick frying pans to the registry.

I like to cook, so it was important for me to buy a set that I would use alot. If they are too heavy, I wouldn't look forward to cooking.

Some of the other pots were too heavy to pick up and move to another burner. I am not a wimp, but I needed 2 hands to lift an *empty* saucepan (not a big one), so that was not for me. I like to move things to the back burner and start something else.

So I recommend going to the store and lifting them up and putting the lids on and removing them to see what works better for you (Macy's, Fortunoff and BBB had most of the sets displayed).

ETA: About the price, don't worry - someone will buy it with someone else. I have seen it before where the set is from 2 people.

Calphalon - i think it was a 13 piece set - it was $500
if you really want them i would say register for them
people may chip in or you may get alot of giftcards/cash to buy it yourself

We registered for this set too! IMO, All-Clad is way too much money to ask someone to spend on pots. Unless you are a kitchen guru, it's not really necessary, b/c although they are the best out there, you are just paying for the name...
