Would you prefer a restaurant style shower, a shower at someone's house, or you don't really care?
This issue has been brought up between my mom and FMIL.

Re: Which type of shower would you prefer?
Honestly, I always imagined my shower would be at a restaurant, but then it was held at my house. It was great - very intimate, comfortable, and everyone had a great time.
I've been to plenty of showers where they were held at a restaurant, or catering hall, and they were great, but not as intimate. Since we usually sat at table, people weren't really inclined to get up and get out of their seats to socialize as much.
They're both beautiful settings, and it's honestly a personal choice, but my vote goes to a home shower!

Home showers all the way...
they're more fun, more intimate and you really get to mingle with all your guests... plus, you don't get kicked out at a certain time... you can enjoy for as long as you want!

Wow, this is hard. I've been to both. I would say the house though. Only because it would be more personal and comfortable. BUT at a restaurant, it would be great too because everyone will be enjoying themselves and the MOH or organizer can enjoy and not have to cater to everones needs. I'm no help.

Re: Which type of shower would you prefer?
of course any shower would be nice, but I would prefer a restaurant shower because it is less work for the person planning, they can sit and enjoy and not worry about serving and being hostess

It doesnt matter to me, whatever is easier for the people planning it. Restaurant may save some money for the person planning, but it is also less work for the person.
Ive been to both and they were nice!! so really i wasnt much help either!!
Edited because I quoted Craigshunny by accident!! Long Day!!

Re: Which type of shower would you prefer?
my shower was kind of a combination. it was at my aunts house with only about 25 people, so it was nice and inimate and laid back... but, they had it catered with sandwiches and salads and stuff - the caterer came and set it all up, and then we called them after everybody left, and they came to clean it all up- so my BMs and my aunt didn't get stuck doing too much clean up. i've been to restaurant showers, and they were nice, but just didn't seem as intimate or laid back.... people just kind of sat at their tables the whole time. i also like smaller showers, too because that makes it more intimate, too....

a restaurant shower because I won't have to worry about help cleaning up
Truthfully, whatever my BP can afford is fine with me.

Re: Which type of shower would you prefer?
I wouldn't mind either way, as long as there was enough room for everyone if it was in someones house.

Don't totally care, but I think there's something special about it being at someone's home.

Re: Which type of shower would you prefer?
I was thinking a home shower so it wouldn't be too expensive. Although you guys have brought up a good point that there are less things for everyone to worry about at a restaurant. Tough one!
