Which type of shower would you prefer?

Original post by MrsStefan

Would you prefer a restaurant style shower, a shower at someone's house, or you don't really care?

This issue has been brought up between my mom and FMIL.

I've always pictured it at a house but I think a restaurant would be nice too. I like the coziness of having it at a house but I like that at a restaurant we're being served and my mom and BP don't have to work as host as much. I think either one can be enjoyable and is largely dependant on how things are set up.

Mine was at FMIL's house which was really lovely. It was nice to be in a place that felt comfortable and familiar.

It didn't matter to me. Though when I think about it, a restaurant slightly edges out home because I know then that my mom wouldn't have to clean, cook and clean again.

of course any shower would be nice, but I would prefer a restaurant shower because it is less work for the person planning, they can sit and enjoy and not worry about serving and being hostess

good point, my older sister's was at home 5 years ago and my my cooked for the whole thing!

mine is going to be a restaurant .. i'm so excited!

I would rather it be at someones house but a more formal setting is fine too. I would rather have it out doors personally, like at a beach or a park. I don't want anyone to go crazy over this.

I always said a home shower.. but in the end sometimes it is more expensive to have a home shower with all the work and food and decorating...tables chairs tents etc.

I think a restaurant shower is easier and more condensed and everything is taken care of.

I agree w/ Jen....a home shower is more laid back & not so structured which is nice though

I wouldn't mind either way, as long as there was enough room for everyone if it was in someones house.

Exactly, as long as there is enough room either place works for me.

I have been to both I think that showers done at someone's home is more intimate. I would prefer that kind of shower.
