if you were a guest at my wedding what would be easier for you?
a saturday morning ceremony that starts at 11
or a sunday night ceremony that would start probably around 4?

Re: which would be more conveinient(sp?)
Personally I like Saturday weddings better. Then I don't have to think about work the next day.

Saturday for me too. I hate Sunday parties - I have to get ready for work the next day!

Saturday so that I can have Sunday to relax before work on Monday. If it is a holiday weekend with Monday off then I would have to say maybe Sunday with Monday for bbqs and R&R.

I live in Brooklyn and don't think that 11 is too early, though I am also not totally sure where the water mill is.
It is less inconvenient if it is in Nassau, but not too bad in Suffolk, unless it's all the way out by the fork, and then it might be a little more inconvenient

I like Saturdays as well. As far as guests coming from Staten Is and Bklyn, I wouldn't sweat it. traffic is much lighter on a Saturday then Sunday.

Saturday at 11...probably not too early for people coming in from Staten Island and Brooklyn. Most people get up for work anywhere between 6 and 8 so actually people will probably still be able to sleep longer than they normally would for work. I say Sat. is fine.

SATURDAY but only because I like the next day off...actually being anywhere for that many hours ( church, CH, reception, drive home) I would want the next day off to sleep.

I like evenings better - even if I do have to get up the next day. I think it sometimes feels like more of a party.
But you should plan what you want - if you try to do what your guests like, you'll drive yourself nuts.

My vote is for Saturday as well, but like Ronkonkomonga (sp) said, whichever day you chose will be great!

Go with what is convenient for you and FH. You will hear mixed opinions about everything. Those who love you and want to share your special day with you will be there whether it is a Tuesday, Friday or Sat. If people can't make it because they think it is too far, too early or too late, then they will reply no.

I love evening weddings, but a Sunday night would be tough on folks who have to work, so I'd go with Saturday.

I completely agree, the ones that you really want to be there will be there, no matter when it is, even at 6am. They will just want to party
