i think the first one is a bit raw looking for my own taste - i would have to say the second one - the pictures have a more finished look to them

Re: Which would you choose? Photographers...
It depends on what you're looking for. Some of Donsing Street's photos ARE more emotionally moving, and less traditional, and it works VERY well in some of the photos. it's very realisitc, but at the same time, when you're looking through the camera and you want to capture reality, you can do it in a way that will look nice, ro you can be haphazard about it. I'm into more artistic photographers, but there's a difference between artistic and poorly composed. So many of thos ephotos would be GREAT if not for some major composition flaw, usually having to do with lighting, they seem to have a hard time using whatever strobe equipment they're using and even in natural light I think they're misguaging it. I can see what they're trying to do with light and shadow in soem photos, but it's not really working, IMO.
Karen wise is very different, much more traditional, but still with an edgt feel. The photos are all well composed, the lighting is very good. She's catching real moments, but in an artistic way. you can tell there's thought going into the framing, lighting, etc etc. I think #2 is overall a more experienced photographer with a more polished final product.
As far as #1 goes, i'm all for beaking rules, but you have to master the rules before you can break them. This guy skipped a step!
