Re: white gold band

I had it done awhile ago and while I don't remember exactly, I want to say somewhere between $25-$40.

Re: white gold band

I have a lifetime warrenty on our bands, so if we need to get them dipped it doesn't cost anything. I think I have to pay for my platium ring though

Re: white gold band

I did it once before my wedding last year and it was free- pretty sure it will always be free- however we know the dealer we got the diamond from, so that might be why

Re: white gold band

this may be a stupid question but what do you mean when you say you want your ring 'dipped'

There is no such thing as 'white gold' it is actually yellow gold and rhodium compound. However, over time, the yellow color shows through and can start to look a little dingy. So people have them dipped. Platinum is really the only true white metal. It will ALWAYS hold its color but may not hold its shine.

I wear two bands. The one I wear on my right hand was the plain 'white gold' band I was married in, which my mother was married in 51 years ago. When she gave it to me for my wedding, it looked yellow-ish so we dipped it in rhodium to restore the color. The band I wear with my e-ring is a solid platinum band with no stones. Over time, I may have the white gold ring redipped, but I would NEVER have the platinum ring dipped. All it would ever need is buffing since it never loses color - just luster.
