White or Clear?

My FH is printing out address labels for our engagement party. Should we use clear labels or white? There are just so many small details to consider with planning everything! :)

I like clear! It looks like the address is printed on the envelope.

I used white because we had black envelopes and you wouldn't be able to see the writing. Otherwise I would've used clear.

I used clear but be warned that sometimes the ink can smudge and the envelope will get lost. That happened to me with some of my invites.

I like the look of the white label...it's clean an crisp, but it really depends on the evelope being used

Ditto. I think it looks better printed on the envelope itself. But if you're set on labels, I say clear.

The clear labels looking neater then the white labels. Even if the envelopes are white, you can still see the different. With the clear though, I would make sure the font is in bold. The regular doesn't come out as clear.

Thank you so much everyone! We are going to print both white and clear labels. We are going to see which ones we like better. I think I'm leaning more towards the clear too. How would I print the addresses on the envelopes without labels?

IMO i love the clear look. I think it just looks so nice. I don't like the white labels. lol. I guess im picky.

I put the envelopes in my printer instead of printer paper. Use Word, go to Tools -> Letters and Mailings -> Envelopes & Labels. If you know how to mail merge with Excel, it's the best thing ever. Just put a bunch of envelopes in the printer and let it go for your entire guest list.
