I'm not getting ivory b/c my parents are UBER traditional and believe in white for a first marriage and that's it...I'm find w/it though.

My dress is in my avatar, it's ivory, but looks gorgeous in white as well.

Go with what you feel comfortable with. If you want white, get white...don't listen to what the bridal attendants tell you! Your choice, you're paying a lot of money!

I agree the diamond white (or ivory) is a lot softer and a friend of mine's cousin just got married...she showed me pictures and if she didnt tell me the dress was ivory I would have never have known...it look likes a soft white....well I think I have made up my mind....diamond white it is...THANKS

ivory just looks better on me than white does. and the white version of my dress doesn't look as nice (to me) as it does in the ivory.

I like either, but given my skin color and hair, ivory is much more flattering than white. It really depends upon your complexion.

I think ivory is beautiful.... It gives a very elegant, old fashioned, classy look.... My dress is ivory and gold... I really don't like to wear white... I liked the colors so much that the whole wedding is going to be in ivory and gold.

I did try on some ivory dresses that were beigy-ivory, so it depends.One dress I tried on, looked so pretty in the beigy-ivory I am not sure if I would have liked it as much in white.
But the dress wasn't right for me.

I ended up in pure white. I am pale, but I like the way I look in white. Also, my dress wasn't satin, so it wasn't a shiny white.

Diamond white & some ivories look white unless you hold it up to a white dress.

2 of my freinds wore ivory, but both looked white to me.

my dress is ivory with a white overlay of silk organza. i think the color looked amazing on me! i loved it. when i put a 'white' dress on i looked washed out!

I found a dress that I really like and in the store they have it in Diamond white (ivory). I can order it in white, but I have no idea what that looks like. The woman at the store said that most brides now a days are wearing ivory anyway...just curious if this is true.

My gown is ivory and it is gorgeous! IMO, ivory is VERY flattering to all skin tones, that's probably why it's so popular.

I have very pale skin and can't wear white at all. on the other hand, ivory actually makes me look tan. go figure!

I wore ivory because Im so pale...white just didn't look right on me. As for white flowers...i was going to do white roses for my bridesmaids and my florist actually told me not to use white roses because the tips turn brown faster and I went with ivory roses and they were beautiful.

i got diamond white because it's not as bright. i'm very fair to begin with and i liked how i looked better in the diamond white.

also went with the ivory - thought it looked softer and complimented my skin better then the white - i am pretty pale and the white made me look ghostly

I'm going to wear ivory. I think it looks very elegant. I personally didn't like the white when I tried it on.

WOW I am pleasantly surprised...I really thought that most people were still stuck on the 'it has to be pure white' rule....I am glad we are evolving as a society.

While we are on the subject or dresses and finding the 'one'....did anyone cry when they found 'the one'???? Is that crazy!! I took that to be a sign
