White or Ivory

I found a dress that I really like and in the store they have it in Diamond white (ivory). I can order it in white, but I have no idea what that looks like. The woman at the store said that most brides now a days are wearing ivory anyway...just curious if this is true.

My dress is white. I haven't seen it in white and now i'm afraid it will be too white..like a nurse's uniform.

I'm wearing black, but I know a lot of brides are wearing ivory. Its common for brides with light skin, the dark your skin the whiter you can get away with.

I have an olive colored complextion - so the white looked better on me than the ivory....the white 'popped' more. I think it really depends on your coloring and the shade of white/ivory.

The Bridal Industry does not make the color terminology easy for us. A tad bit confusing.

In the end I purchased what I thought looked good on me and it looked white as white could be if you asked me. I've never questioned how white a brides dress was at any wedding I'v been to as far as I remember.
