It seems many Brides are now wearing Ivory. I personally prefer white just b/c white is one of my favorite colors. Is it because alot of designers only offer Ivory?

I am wearing diamond white ... my skin is so ultra pale and white dresses on me were blinding. The diamond white of my dress also has some gold in it so it suits my skin tone much better. I still plan to somehow get a tan before the big day (not sure how, since I spray tanned once and it was terrible, and I can't seem to tan ever - just burn, peel and back to pale), but I still think it worked best for me.

I have more of an olive tone so I thought I'd want to wear ivory. But when I actually put it up to me I realized that the white looked much better. So I went with the bright white!

I personally just didnt like the way white looked on me. I thought the ivory was more flattering against my skin tone and hair ??

I'm wearing ivory because I have the same pale skin issue many girls on here have. Also it is a very light colored ivory, you would think it was white unless you held something white up to it. Also, like many girls have said, the beading stood out more on this color.

dress didnt come in White but since I am so fair I knew that white would only make me look sooo drained . Ivory gives me some color..:) Plus the beading and lace really have that 'romantic' feel and you can notice the detail against the color

Mine isn't white or ivory, it's a color called 'pearl' which is similar to a diamond white I guess.
I'd initially tried on other gowns in white and ivory and it amazed me how much the colors varied by manufacturer. Pronovias and Demetrios ivory seemed to look very deep (to me), whereas Jim Hjelm and Lazaro gowns were in a much more muted ivory.

I am doing Ivory-- I think alot go ivory bc dont like the bright white against skin..you have to be careful with ivory cause some ivory almost looks like a yellow...
