Re: who are your bridesmaids?
The bridesmaids in my FW's wedding party are people that she knows and tends to like.
(That has to be a classic example of 1am in the morning humor.. geez)
Allrighty...
Seriously.. they are her closest friends and her sister is her MOH. They are all a very wonderful group of ladies from that she has known for a good amount of time.

Re: who are your bridesmaids?
best friend- MOH sister - BM sister - BM FSIL - BM my sisters and i made a decision that since we could not choose who would be our maid of honor, we would have friends for MOH. for us that has worked out pretty well. I decided not to start asking friends to be in the wedding party because that would open a whole new can of worms.

Re: who are your bridesmaids?
Just 2 cousins.
My friends are all kinda a package deal, & we wanted to keep it small.
We may have all friends as readers, since we have all family in the bridal party. (his 2 cousins too)

Re: who are your bridesmaids?
Four (4) women total:
College Friend, Maid of Honor College Friend, Bridesmaid College Friend, Bridesmaid Cousin of the Groom, Junior Bridesmaid
I had a really heart breaking, stressful, frustrating time finding my BMs. I received 3 rejections for one BM position offer. The first was a relative of mine who felt indifferent and uncomfortable as she's unmarried and 3 years older than I am. Her family is pushing her for marriage and she's not ready for it when I was engaged already. The second rejection was an old college acquatiance chum of mine who had money problems and cannot afford the BM attire, shower, etc. financial duties of a BM. The third and final rejection was the most heart breaking and hurtful which I was close to my 13 year old cousin I was going to make her fill a BM position and change her title to Jr. BM because of her age. Her parents, on the other hand were very controlling, domainating people who did not want their only child to be influence with American values and American lifestyle. She lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia--a potential OOT BM candidate. There were round of heart breaking and hurtful e-mail back and fourth to each other destroying our relationship as cousins. I'd treated her more than just a cousin but like a sister. At first she said in her e-mail 'I would LOVE to be a bridesmaid' however in latter e-mails 'I never have any intention of being a BM. I'm scare to walk down the aisle. etc.' I was so angry, hurt, disspointed, and broken hearted. Our relationship was never the same. So I was force to seek other resources for another BM to fill this cursed final position that was open. I don't have many friends who are close on this level and don't have any sisters or SIL-to-be either. Many of my female cousins or DH's female cousins live OOT and won't want the position. I sought through my old college address book and planner to contact one of my college friend. Thankfully, she said yes and was very eager and committed into fulling her duties. She was the best of my BMs in carrying out her BM duties.
Later I was also looking for young attendants, FG and RB which many of our extended family live OOT or in another continent. They refuse to travel to NYC to take part on our big day. We had 2 additions to our wedding party with Junior attendants. They too fulfilled their duties 110%. In the end we were very happy with our special friends in our wedding party. Everyone else--their loss.

Re: who are your bridesmaids?
wow, sorry you had such a rough time. I've never herd of peopel sayign no, even when they wanted to, they felt obligated.
One of my cousins will be 16 this year, and I am going to call & ask her mother first, but I'm sure she'll say yes, but I'm hoping she means it & not just that feels obligated.
