I thought I was handling it since I've been handling everything, but mom insistedddddd that they should go to her and my dad... I mean, I gave in bc I understand the reasoning, but a bit disappointed bc I want to stalk ther mailman and now I cant... Maybe I'll just move back home for a couple of weeks

I live at home, but even if I decided to move into the house they would be coming here. My mom is very old fashioned about this whole wedding. Since they are the hosts they get the invites. I wish they weren't coming here, our mailman is a moron and lost half of my friends RSVPs when she got married. We get bills for everyone else on his mail route.

My mom insisted too. She and my sister had a mini-war during her wedding about it and my mom won but agreed to call every day with updates. Plus my mom is at home and the mail comes in the early afternoon and so I'll find out my responses way before I would if I had to go home and check the mailbox.

My Mom insisted they go to my parents when they send them out since they are paying for the bulk of the wedding. BUT they are not to open them - I want to open them!!

Lol this was exactly my issue! I posted about this last week. My mom is menopausal and very forgetful too and I didn't know what to do b/c they are paying for the wedding and we live about 6 hours away so it's not like I can pop over and grab them. I think we are just going to have them sent to us. Screw etiquette on this one lol

FH and I lose everything. Everyone is shocked to this day that I havent lost my engagement ring (knock on wood). Even though I live with FH we are going to have them sent to my parents house. My mom is pretty organized.
