mom for all, + grandma, bridesmaid, MOH (sis) for most. grandpa came along to one place.
Some places were really rude about it (either to me when I was in the dressing room, or to them while i was in the dressing room -- making snide comments). It was a good way to judge what kind of people you'd be dealing with should you decide to buy your dress there.
On average I'd say I was with 3 people.

I went with my mom until I had it narrowed down to 2 dresses.
I brought mom & FMIL back, so FMIL could see the 2 I was choosing between.
I went back with just mom to order it.
For my 1st fitting, I went with just mom again.
My BMs, Aunts, etc. have not seen my dress yet.
I will invite people to my 2nd fitting.

only my MOH who is my best friend and now SIS. My mom lives in Vegas so she couldn't be there for any of the planning. And i didn't bring MIL for two reasons: 1- she can't keep a secret! And 2- because i didn't think it would be fair to my mom since she couldn't be with me. I didn't want anyone else there with me for the process. I didn't want all the different opinions and remarks.

Just me and Mom. She's the only opinion (other than mine) I wanted or need. The lady at the store told me it's not good to bring to many people...there will be to many opinions lol And it gets to confusing.

I brought my mom. To be honest sometimes too many people too many opinions and you will be confused. Narrow it down to maybe 2 dresses and them bring in the others. Otherwise you will not be happy when some people air their opinons too freely.

i wish i could go with my Mom but she is in Florida....
i really wish I could take FH b/c after all, I want to look good for him!
but i will probably ask FH's sister and one of my BM's, my BF to come with me....i can't imagine going with more than 2 people at a time! id kill everyone! hahahahaha!

just my mom. i knew she'd be honest about what looked good and I didn't really want it to be a big circus with 5 other people giving their two cents about everything. I knew what I wanted though, so that can really make a difference about how many opinions you'll need/want.

I went with my mom and sis (MOH). I thought that was about right. When I first went to Davids Bridal I saw too many people that came with the brides it was like a mad house. The second and final time I went one bride had 8 people with her. There really should be a limit because it is crowded.

thanks for your responses! I'll bring mom and aunt but thats it unless it comes down to two dresses that i cannot decide on and need more opinions but wont bring more than two people each trip or itll be too crazy!

I just went yesterday to start dress shopping... I have narrowed it down to 3 dresses... I went with my MOH who was a HUGE help to me.. I go back tomorrow to make my final decision and my MOH and mom are coming with me for it... I wanted my FMIL to come but she cant cause of work so it will just be 2 people... If I could, Id bring a bunch LOL... I wanted my father and my brother to come but my father wants to be surprised and my brother does too... I just wanted my brother there since he is going back to Iraq next week.... I say take who you feel comfortable with.. Its too exciting for me to keep it to myself LOL!
