ok ladies who did you guys tell first about your engagement we told my parents first. yeah i love the traditional ways
me too but they already knew - LOL
I called my parents first and then my MOH and another friend but it went to her voicemail so i just left her a voicemail.
FH asked my fathers permission. Told his parents the day of. And told my mom when I gt home that night.
We told his mom and SIL...then I got to tell everyone at my work, that was great!
yup FH asked my fathers permission but he didn't tell him when he was going to do it and then the first person I told was my mom! This was a great question
Oh and my BOH/BFF and her family (I'm close with the family) knew since christmas. She also told some people at work cause she couldn't hold it in!!
oh and my mom didn't know because she has a BIG mouth and if she knows that means her friends know and all her friends are the mothers of my bridesmaids which means they'd know and that is eactly what FH was trying to avoid. Luckily my dad can keep a secret!

FH asked my parent's permission and they were actually at my aunt and uncles house when he went to pick up the ring from my uncle (he made it)
FH had to ask for the ring from his mom (i got his great grandmothers ring) ... he asked my dad which meant my mom knew ... i think all his groomsmen knew before me (ok i kinda knew it was happening) when he actually did it ... i called my mom first ... then i waited to tell my friends till the next day cause i wanted to surprise them by making little gift bags and getting them dleivered announcing that i was engaged and asking them to be in my bridal party ... my MOH knew fist out of them!!
Yeah Fh had asked my fathers permission about a month before he proposed, so my parents knew it was going to happen...My mom even said yeah i knew he was going to propose on the cruise
Yeah EVERYONE KNEW!!!!!!! its not like i was able to surprise anyone with the news. When I called my MOH she was so funny, she didnt want to say anything in case he didnt do it yet, so she was like uhmmm yes Denise, and then when i said it she was like yeah i know...He told my friends, my family...Plus all his friends knew, that should've been another club that ALL his friends called him that morning before we left, i was like damn hes so popular getting phone call after phone call so early in the morning before we go on vacation, were just going for a week lol. He even said after 'why do you think everyone kept calling me that morning, they were wishing me luck'
My sister, my grandfather and my cousin. they were all at my house when we got back. my parents were last cause we couldn't get ahold of them untill that night. they were away!
I called my mom first, but she already knew since FH asked my parents permission beforehand. My brothers knew because my mom told them. His parents knew, although when we got home, they seemed to have forgotten that it had happened that day. After I called my mom though, I called my BF and aunt.
Well most of my family was there so I called my grandparents in Florida first.
