Who do you invite to your shower?

I dont have a lot of family, so my friends will be throwing my shower. They just asked me for a list of women. Do I give them a list of all women invited to the wedding? Or just friends and close relatives? HelP Please! I dont want to give them a list with tons of people on it!

Re: Who do you invite to your shower?

Close friends & family.
Here's Words of Wisdom taken off the BBB website:

Who is invited? The guest list should include the Maid of Honor and bridesmaids (groomsmen too if it’s a co-ed shower), the mothers and sisters of the bride and groom, and other close relatives and friends who are invited to the wedding. (The only exception to this rule comes in the case of an office shower, when co-workers who are not invited to the wedding may want to chip in for a gift).

Re: Who do you invite to your shower?

I think the only hard and fast rule is that it's improper to invite people to the shower who won't be invited to the wedding.

Re: Who do you invite to your shower?

I had this same question. My shower involved only my close friends and relatives. That was because I wanted it small and intimate with only those who I actually wanted to spend time with, not those who I had to invite to the wedding because of family obligations etc...

Re: Who do you invite to your shower?

I suspect that my job will be throwing me a work shower. So, do I invite my work friends to my real shower? Or is this asking too much of them. They will be invited to the wedding. Ok, so let me get this straight, I am to invite each woman that is invited to my wedding? I just want to give my MOH an accurate list. Thank you so much ladies...
