for a DJ. I don't want someone in your face, trying to get the crowd going, and really don't want him to talk. Couldn't the Maitre'd or BM make announcements (which will be minimal)? I had friends who burned CD's and gave them to the DJ. I guess why have a DJ then? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm looking for the same thing, but haven't talked to any vendors yet. Is that kind of thing what most DJs would consider to be a 'basic package'?

Having a classy not in your face DJ was sooooooooo important to us!!! we also wanted great music all night and a company who is very professional! We had been to a few events with starlight express and after visiting a few other dj's decided to book them! We are very happy with our decision so far! STARLIGHT EXPRESS

We felt the same way as well and loved Bravura Entertainment in Woodbury!

Starlight Express!!! www.starexdjs.com. They're a little expensive but worth it for the non-cheese factor.

okay, I'm a big first impression kind of person. I went to starlight express's website and they look so cheesy. What is up with the hey how YOU doing looking guys. It looks like a male review site. I will give them a chance though based on what you girls say.
