I don't. I do have a junior bridesmaid who is 10. I was wonder if she could throw rose petals down the aisle? What do you think?
Thanks!!

Re: Who does not have a flower girl?
That's a toughie....it might make her feel too much like a FG.
I did not have any children in my wedding at all, so I did not have flower petals, but my church did not allow them anyway

Re: Who does not have a flower girl?
My flower girl won't put on her dress, so I may not have one. I don't see anything wrong w/a JR. BM throwing the rose petals.... But that's just me! I think you should do what you want!

I don't know if that would go over well w/ the 10 year old. - She's probably all excited to be a 'bridesmaid' and weare the nice dress and shoes etc. - I think asking her to throw the rose petals would disappoint her...........Also, IMO the whole rose petal thing is really only for the cute effect of the little girl tossing them...........

We are not having any kids at all, either in the wedding, or at the wedding. I think 10 is a little old for her to be throwing petals. ask her and see how she feels.

i don't have a flower girl. i might just have rose petals already placed on the aisle by the time guests arrive.

We are not having a FG, but I agree that you could have the rose petals already there.

I like that idea too. No young kids in either families, so we aren't having one, although I wish I could.

Re: Who does not have a flower girl?
I am not have a flower girl.. actually I am not having children under 12 at my wedding. my sister got married last oct. 2003 and my younger sister was 10 and she was JR bridesmaid which worked out nicely. there was a FG also.

Re: Who does not have a flower girl?
i made a decision to have no children in the wedding.
Then my FH's 9 year old neice came up to me with these huge eyes her own sketch of what she thought her flower girl dress could look like!
I didn't cave in, but I made her an 'usherette' (something I came up with on the spot) - she will be handing out the cones of flowers to the guests and instructing them on what to do. So, in that sense, she was still a 'flower' girl.
She was thrilled. There is always a creative way to make things work. Why not just have the petals down before the ceremony?

Re: Who does not have a flower girl?
I don't think we are having one. At least, I hope not.
FH has a lot of little girls who would like to be FG's. If we chose one, the parents will get offended, and I am not paying for 10 FG's dresses.
