Who dosent cook???

My FH whos been with me for 4 years now, he knows I am not the cook so for some reason he decides that tonite I should start. How sad am I that I had to look for a recipe to cook/bake chicken???
He actual is the cook and he is pretty good. I think its about being creative but, I am so CLUELESS!! I even have to call my mom as soon as I get to the supermarket. I dont know how to buy chicken either!

Ohh I made a chicken for the first time last weekend! Actually, it was a team effort because I made DH take out the giblets. And I dropped the roasting pan and the juice went all over. But, other than that...

Ditto!

I don't cook, I HATE to cook actually. The reason it shocks and surprises people is that my Dad is a chef by profession and is an incredible cook .. so is my Mom.

Yet I truly hate it - so I think its better for mine and my husband's well-being that I refrain from cooking at all costs

I dont cook either and somehow everyone found this out when we got engaged. Well for christmas I think I got about 10 cookbooks as gifts. I think my FH must have hinted to everone that he would like me to learn. How embarassing.

I learned to cook when we moved in together but I will admit I am not good at it. I would like to become better at it!

aww Debbie, you never took Basic Cooking?

A whole bird is a big step! It's actually easy to cook, but how pbig to buy, and how to clean & prepare is tricky. I did it once & undercooked it.

I cook enough to get buy & it has taken a lot of mid-recipe calls to mom & tips from grandma to get that far. Ther are lots of tips online too.

The sad thing is my husband learned from & I think he has surpassed me!

Tonight he is making a brccoli & pasta recipe from a magazine & tomorrow I am trying to make lemon chicken cutlets, the way my grandma told me. I didn't write it down & last time was a disaster!

so, I guess we'll see which experiment comes out better.

Good luck with your chicken!

I believe that anyone can cook--but that it's just a matter of inclination.

I really only know how to cook steak, pasta (I only recently learned how to make meatballs) and scrambled eggs. Oh and any sort of potatoes. That is about it.

Re: Who dosent cook???

I cook very basic stuff - steak, hamburgers, a few chicken cutlet varieties, and a lot of pasta! Somehow I manage to swing it so that I'm only cooking about 3 nights a week, so Brad hasn't gotten too tired of the few things I make. I have tried to experiment a bit too...some things have come out better than others.

Brad doesn't really cook, and since I'm generally home before him, hasn't really had to. Once in awhile, I will ask him to cook, but that's just as much work as if i did it myself!

I don't really cook. Most of the time I just grill something on the George Foreman grill and make rice to go with it. its easy enough and better than eating out every night.

That's what I've been doing!!!! I bought tons of different marinades for chicken/beef/fish and Lipton side dishes.

I haven't quite gotten around to trying different herbs and stuff. Maybe if I had more time.....

Happy Cooking!
