My FH whos been with me for 4 years now, he knows I am not the cook so for some reason he decides that tonite I should start. How sad am I that I had to look for a recipe to cook/bake chicken??? He actual is the cook and he is pretty good. I think its about being creative but, I am so CLUELESS!! I even have to call my mom as soon as I get to the supermarket. I dont know how to buy chicken either!

This is so funny...DH and I were just talking about how I hate to cook LOL We have a deal...he cooks and I clean My New Years resolution is to learn how to cook...I need to know how if we are going to have a family! Its going to be a work in progress.....

I just got a low-carb slow cooker cookbook --- the recipes are so easy and it's almost impossible to screw up anything in a slow cooker. My only problem is having the ingredients on hand -- but, I improvise.
I made great BBQ ribs in the slow cooker last night, some rice and a salad!! DH was totally impressed!

I've always had a small repertoire of meals that I could make, but DH is a total gourmet. Problem is whenever he would cook for me, when we were dating, it inevitable took 3 hours!! Now that we're married, he's toned it down a bit and we make most meals together. We like to experiment too...like the other night I mentioned that it seems we always have potatoes, so we decided to have pasta instead - I had some ditalini (tiny tubes) in the pantry and I cooked some frozen peas in a little bit of butter and we tossed them together. Just made it up, but it tasted great (I just had it for lunch with some of last night's chicken )
I've had that ditalini pasta with peas and butter. DH's sister made that one night when we were at her house...it's good

Im not a big fan of cooking but I do it. I make simple things, like steak, alot of chicken, pork chops.

I am not much of a cook either. However, I am learning day by day. But I don't cook every night either. I can't...I mean who wants to come home after being tired from working all day to cook? LOL I would say I cook maybe 2 or 3 times a week. During the week it's rough because you get home in the evening. Weekends are better.
And I don't make gourmet meals either trust me. Only the basics. DH always tells me that he doesn't expect 10 course meals everyday, he says that he is fine with any simple meal whether it's gourmet or not he doesn't care. Especially when he's hungry...he'll eat anything! What I hate is the comments that people make to me...like if they hear that I made something they'll say 'you cooked?????' with this look of shock....errrrrrrr! that annoys me
