I did not have one. I received about 30 gifts from people even though I didn't. So I lucked out a little!

I didn't have one either...I've gone to two e-parties and there just an excuse to get presents.

In the end you wind up giving people three gifts...a little much. So I didn't want to put anyone through that.

I didn't have on either and we got a lot of gifts-so I don't feel jipped @ all. Not to sound rude, because to each his own--but I kinda agree with regina....

We also received gifts even though we didn't have an e-party. But I have to say the gifts came from my family and our friends. We didn't get anything from my FH's side of the family.

For us its not an excuse to get presents.
The only way for us getting 90+ of our family members, close friends and close family friends together to meet was to have a party. The presents are nice but I would not feel comfortable at the wedding having one side only talking to their side b/c they don't know anyone from the 'other' side.

It was not an organized e-party per se, but we had a casual dinner, no gifts, just food, folks and fun. We did not see the need to do something formal. I think it is a nice way to get the BP and the families together tho' especially if they do not know each other.

I didn't have a traditional e-party. I had a dinner with only immediate family about 30 people - not friends) in a restaurant where my mom works. Both sets of parents wanted a party but we didn't want one. We felt we were too old for it and it would look like we were just asking for presents. So this was the compromise we worked out. It was very nice.

We didn't either, didn't want to, it was our choice, I felt funny having one, because I remember when a friend of mine had one and the wedding so shortly after and a bridal shower in between, I thought it was crazy to ask for 3 seperate gifts from the same people. Anyone else feel that way?
