well we gave them in last week and today we go to pick it up and find out how much we get back. OH GOD more than any other year we need it this year, well all of us im sure need it more this year than other years. I just want to pay most of my hall NOW. They did this whole payment plan for us at the RH, so we pay every 2-3 months an installment and then 10 days before we will have about half left to give. If we get a decent amount back today then it'd go mostly towards the RH, and this way for the last 3 months i dont have to sit here and keep going to make payments.
So who has got theirs back already? Anybody effected bc of the new rebate laws? for good or bad? With the new rebate laws i dont know what to expect

I got back peanuts last year and actually owed the state money. I was also claiming too much when I changed jobs. My accountant had told me to fix my claims on the W-4 so I won't owe anything next year. I have my appointment in a week and a half. I'll know then about how much if anything I'll get back. I believe I'm in the next tax bracket and won't be able to claim my school loans anymore FH got his back already and it will be used for our last payment for our RH next month. Can't wait for that to be paid off!
I also don't qualify for the rebate

yeah I felt bad FH was doing trainging and using the government phones they have set up which he isnt supposed to be using to call the woman there and b*tch her out. but the taxes were already on the database and were being pulled this past monday so she said she couldnt do anything. so fh talked to the head accountant there and he pretty much said what the woman said. so i had to mail all his stuff to him so he can file for a mistake or however you do it so he can get his state tax money back. i even showed the woman his last year returns with how he filed and got it all back but NOP nothing she was really a big B*TCH it does s u c k
I would file a complaint against her!

FH is getting his done on Friday and I'm doing mine next Tues. We're really hoping we both get big chunks back. With all the wedding stuff, etc. we need it!

I filed online because I have a simple straight forward return it cost me $14 and my tax return gets deposited in my bank FRIDAY !!!!!

i got mine back it was direct deposited on the 7th
i filed them on the 31st of january
i got back 5000 and Dh got back 1500
if we filed the same $$ as married, i would have gotten back 8500!! maybe next year!

We need to buy a house at this point because John is in such a high tax bracket and we don't have any deductions. We even went to a guy who specializes in police deductions and we still owe all of this

I did my taxes already and am just waiting for my money money money!!! I actually got back $600 more last year than this year Seeing, saving a little ends up screwing you in the end b/c of the interest income. Well next year I won't have to worry about it, b/c all the money will be gone to pay for the wedding and honeymoon.

You don't have to claim 0. When I was at my old job I claimed 2 and got more in my paycheck and got a nice chunk back at tax time. I did the same when I started my current job, but I make a lot more now so I had to put 0 otherwise I'll owe.
The accountant should have told you to switch it to 0 so you wouldn't owe as much.

I gave my taxes to the accountant last week and found out sunday that with federal and state, I'm getting back about 3500!! I'm so excited!

yeah i think FH actually did. i was too scared to yell at her so I let FH handle it but it made him even more mad because he was training and didnt have the time so I can just imagine what he told her to do with herself right before he hung up the phone with her and complained haha
