well we gave them in last week and today we go to pick it up and find out how much we get back. OH GOD more than any other year we need it this year, well all of us im sure need it more this year than other years. I just want to pay most of my hall NOW. They did this whole payment plan for us at the RH, so we pay every 2-3 months an installment and then 10 days before we will have about half left to give. If we get a decent amount back today then it'd go mostly towards the RH, and this way for the last 3 months i dont have to sit here and keep going to make payments.
So who has got theirs back already? Anybody effected bc of the new rebate laws? for good or bad? With the new rebate laws i dont know what to expect

As a self employed small business owner I pay every year! ETA: FH is getting an additional $600 back
there are many ways for you to get back as a small business owner. I posted last week so many tax deductions that people dont know about and many were beneficial to small business owners.
I only pay about 600$, it is seriously the best I can do. There is only so much you can write off.
I have been doing this a LONG time!

i think some accountants dont get back for others what they could. They dont go that extra step for extra deductions
I know..my accountant is the nicest old man ever lol he sits there and rambles off lists of things that he can deduct for. However, i only have my salary and school loans..thats it..but he does try. Cause he says every little bit helps lol I just checked online I should expect my money next week...

yeah that is so true denise. like the woman who did my taxes at H&R block. she was asking me about school loans etc, and I had to tell her I always put that I buy my books and mileage to school. She was almost fighting with me about getting money back for that. Yet when my dad used to do my taxes he would always put that on for me. Ughh next year I am using your guy Dana since you gave me his info!!! lol FH was just a pain and wanted them done already and now look we have a problem with his stupid taxes haha

I just saw my accountant yesterday.... The refund looks positve All of the new tax laws don't help me- I'm in the Alternative Min tax bracket and we get SCREWED!!

i got mine and fh's taxes done. i have his power of attorney to do them for him since he is training etc. but the woman who did them screwed up and already filed them.
so now i had to mail all fh's tax stuff to him in japan so he can after he gets out of training go to his accountant and file a claim about fixing the taxes. See the woman at H&R Block said my Fh does not get any of his state tax $ back and he owes. But for the last 3 years in the Marine Corps he has lived out of NY state but has been getting NY State taxes taken out. So there is a specific form you can file that is titled Non Resident or Partial Resident of State. Well obviously FH is not a resident so the gov't gives him all his state taxes back. But the woman at H&R Block refused to do it and I really didnt know that she had to. So fh called her up b*tched her out and now has to file for a mistake in his taxes and do it again.
right now we are at $2300 together I only got about $1000 and Fh got $1300 but that doesnt include his state, but if all goes well with his state we should get a total combined amount of $3000.
W** go to somebody else or talk to somebody else at the office to take care of the problem. THat is BS

Fh has to go soon last year we got back over 7k bc we have ahouse and he could claim my daughter and since i dont work anymore he can claim me this year so we're hoping for more!

yeah I felt bad FH was doing trainging and using the government phones they have set up which he isnt supposed to be using to call the woman there and b*tch her out. but the taxes were already on the database and were being pulled this past monday so she said she couldnt do anything. so fh talked to the head accountant there and he pretty much said what the woman said. so i had to mail all his stuff to him so he can file for a mistake or however you do it so he can get his state tax money back. i even showed the woman his last year returns with how he filed and got it all back but NOP nothing she was really a big B*TCH it does s u c k
yeah i read all the new laws they day they did it...Some are good but some S*CK. Those extra rebates will be AFTER we get our taxes, theyre sending those separately and i think itll be around the time after our wedding hahaha
