DH and I are planning our one year anniversary trip there. We have gotten prices for 4 different hotels and I was looking to see if anyone had any experience at them and what you thought. The 4 we have priced out are

I've never stayed in any of those places, but I did hear the the ME was breath-taking. When I went three years ago, we stayed at Presidente Intercontinental. It is amazing-the food is phenominal. You should price that one resort as well. It is also all inclusive.

I have, but not to either of those hotels. However, I would suggest, if you are looking to do alot of activities to stay closer to the marina and 'the arch'. (stay as far south as possible). there are quite a few hotels near there, and we walked EVERYWHERE. it was great. If you stay closer to the airport where some of the high end resorts are, you will need a cab to go everywhere. We walked out from our hotel, and all shopping, dining, bars/clubs, movies, fishing boats/glass bottom boats, cabo wabo, beaches, etc. Its very safe around there too. Def consider what you plan on doing before you book it.
We stayed at marina fiesta. we liked it alot. The location cannot be beat.
ive been to the riu I loved everything about it, the food wasn't bad but we liked to eat in town for some nights, but the all inclusive was deff worth it for breakfast lunch and drinks and the hotel was gorgeous! I'm actually going to the Riu palace next week in Aruba
