I have never been a bridesmaid...I think that made this wedding more difficult to plan! Also I am very sensitive to my BMs because of this...they picked the dress, they can wear whatever shoes they want, do their hair however they want, etc. I am so worried of appearing 'Bridezilla' like!
Has anyone else never been a bridesmaid?

I have never been a bridesmaid and only been to two weddings in recent years. Luckily all of my FH's friends are getting married so we have 5 weddings to go to in the next 8 months!! It does make it harder, but i hope the weddings we go to will help b/c I am pretty clueless!

i've only been a bm at my sisters wedding 5 years ago and she lived out of state at the time so she didnt ask for anyone's help. so planning my wedding would've been really difficult if not for this website!
i'm at the age now where all of my girlfriends will be getting married soon (hopefully) so they all said they're relying on me to know how to put their weddings together!!!

I have never been a BM, nor invited to a rehearsal dinner, or ever helped plan a wedding - so I'm a virgin in all of this too! God help me!!!

me! I actually haven't been to a wedding since I was about seven, so I'm definitely new to all of this!
After planning for almost a year now though, I'm starting to feel like I'm going to be an expert pretty soon

Nope, never but 2 of my MOH's have been BM's. One has been a BM at least 5 times if not more

I have but all of the weddings were in the 80s. So it was G-d awful. Dresses with poufy sleeves, crinoline and a big bow on the butt. GOOD TIMES!

I've never been a bridesmaid...I've also only been to two weddings my entire life.
I'm also afraid of looking Bridezillaish but I picked out the girls dress told them what color shoes to wear. Other than that as far as make-up and hair are concerned the girls have free reign..but i am paying for their hair and make-up.

:::::raises hand::::::: I haven't. But I'm only 23, and I'm the oldest grandchild, and the first of my friends getting married, so not much of an opportunity......I was a flower girl for my uncle's wedding when I was 5 though, and now his 16 year old daughter and 13 year old son are a BM and GM in our wedding, so it's funny how things come around. =)

I'm only 22 right now, and i'm the first of my friends to get engaged and will be the first married. So i've never been a bridesmaid. I can see how it could be hard being the first one married and not having past experience helping with weddings. But the way i see it, since i've wouldve spent soooo much time and energy planning my wedding, when it comes time for me to be a BM i'll be able to give some expert advice and help plan from a different perspective--- without all the DRAMA

same here! the last wedding in my family was about 13 years ago, and it ended in a VERY quick divorce (2 months)

I've been a flower girl, but that was back in the 80's. Never been a bridesmaid, and in fact i'm the only one of my friends getting married so far. That's why I love LIW, I haven't been in a wedding in so long that this site helps sooo much!

I have never been a bridesmaid either. So weird I am going to be married first. I was a flower girl though in my aunts wedding when I was 6 but I barely remember anything about it.
