all my girls are different sizes..I just let them pick what they wanted in same color.

I picked a halter style dress because being plus sized myself I knew Halter was slimming looking. Everyone liked it.

My MOH is plus size and she is also pregnant. The baby will be four months at the wedding.

I thought that I would pick a separates color and bottom and let them pick any top they all want so she (well they all) would feel comfortable.

Well...now she is freaking out about the price 150- 175. I don't think that is that high...is it???

I ahd a couple of hefty and busty girls in my wedding.. we went w/ an empress or empire cut.. it suited all my girls even the thin ones..

Ladies, I don't mean to start anything, but the 'Hefty' comment is a bit insulting. IMO, not a nice way to describe the people you care about who are in your wedding.

I have two girls that are size 20's...they are wearing the Bill Levkoff dress.. I think #996.... they tried it on and looked great... they will look beautiful...

Lots of people have BMs of all shapes, sizes, coloring, etc. You can pick a designer and have each girl get the dress she feels most comfortable in, in your color of choice. Separates are a good choice for this. There are also many choices in dresses that look good on any size. Good luck and I am sure you will find something great.

I am doing this. I picked out the color and the material, and my girls get to choose what dress they feel most comfortable in. My girls range from a size 2 - 20. I guess if they were all about the same size it would be much easier. I just want them to feel comfortable - thats all.

i went bridesmaid dress shopping today, and we were both very frustrated. went to 2 popular stores and both didn't carry any big size samples. we are looking a size 18 or 20 particually in bill levkoff dresses.
anyone know what stores carry the bigger size samples???

Separates are a great idea. I only have an MOH so i am not worried, my cousin has all sizes in her BP, everyone has the same skirt, but there were about 20 different style tops to choose from. I am plus size myself so it was nice having a choice

I have this problem. My FSIL is a plus size girl and my two cousins are sticks. Then I have one girls with big boobs and one girl who just had a baby. I found that A-line dresses were the most flattering dresses on all of them. I got this dress because I liked it, but also because the sash hides my friend's baby belly and my FSIL's waist line

Same here! We're getting the same dress, and for the plus size gals, and some of the new mommies, it is flattering!

I just went through this and it drove me NUTS!!! I finally decided on a Jim Hjelm dress and paid the extra $40 for the plus size. Now I am just praying the damn thing fits since my plus size BM only wanted to give me her bust measurement.

i did this. i have bridesmaids ranging from size 2 to 20 - i wanted them to feel comfortable. as it is a long day to be sucking in your gut and feeling badly.
