Who is changing their name?

I'm so excited to take his last name - I've always had a name that everyone can pronounce and now I finally get a difficult one!!! But I am also very attached to my name - my father doesnt have any sons (other than a stepson)....so my FH and I agreed that when we have our first child, we are going to use my maiden name as the child's first name. My last name is an Irish name that can be used for a boy or a girl - so I love the idea!!

NOT changing my name.

I will be 37 and I have a business that uses my full name and my clients and other industry people know that name!!!

I will not be making a legal name change.

However, I will be happy to use his name on social occassions or when anyone wants to call me by his name. I used to work with someone who got mad when people called her by her husband's name. I'm not going to change my name but I will not get mad about that.

Our kids will have his last name. I keep thinking that I will have to write notes to the teacher that explain who I am--like on Welcome Back Kotter when the notes were signed, Sincerely, Juan Epstein's mother. If I just sign my legal name, the teacher will not know whose mom I am!!!!!!!!

I didn't change mine and I'm happy about that. I thought it would be harder to chnage my name but somehow I've still run into the same problems. It's harder for me to prove we're married if we don't have the same last name. My husband is OK with it as long as his children have his last name.

I have been dreaming of changing my name since I was a little girl.

I dont plan on changing my last name - maybe in a few years I'll make my last name my middle name and take his, but for now, I prefer to keep my own last name.

I would love to take his name... i just like mine better!!! what to do....

since im a teacher, i might keep my name at school, but change it to his legally....

I am DEFINITELY taking his name. My last name now is soooo simple, yet everyone says it WRONG. It drives me crazy.
