We are, but we are not doing the traditional thing. I always wanted to throw my Bouquet since I was a little girl, so I am going to have all the woman come up, young, old, single and married. They will play one of my favorite fun songs and I will toss the bouquet, whom ever catches it is wished a lifetime of good luck and happiness, I am also attaching a $25.00 gift card to the Bouquet, so it will be a little something for whoever catches it. The groom is doing the same thing with the garter and attaching a $25.00 Home Depot Gift Card. I personally think the garter thing is a bit tacky, but thats just me. Everyone likes different things, so this is what we picked to do.
This idea is truly fantastic! Had I known about it we would have totally done it this way! What a neat idea! You should totally share this with the girls on the '08 boards!

That is a great idea!!! I don't really like the whole bouquet/garter thing....well, mostly the garter portion... But I was still going to do the bouquet toss b/c The Bourne Mansion ballroom has a balcony that I think I can through it from. I might steal your idea and attach a gift card!!

i really like your idea! i wont have too many single women at my wedding but i have ALWAYS wanted to throw the bo-k - i think this idea will get more people involved - thanks for teh suggestion!

We're doing both, but not in the traditional way. It's going to be for luck instead of the traditonal 'next person to get married' and the person who catches the garter will not have to put it on whoever catches the bouquet.
