I def will be saving the cake.
Not sure about 1 & 2 yet. I may even try to sell my dress afterwards.
Its a beautiful dress but Im never going to wear it again and I loath keeping things.

Re: who is doing the following
we will definitely do the cake thing and prob my dress, if i dont ruin it by having too much fun!!! idk about the flowers.... some flowers dry beautifully and others dont, and professional flower preservation is expensive.... i am hoping my mother will offer to pay for 1 and 2 for me, maybe

Re: who is doing the following
Definately saving my dress. I want to make it into a baby blanket or christening gown when I have a baby
The cake I will probably save, and maybe take a bite out of it in a year- but I doubt it..
Not preserving the flowers. What the heck am I gonna do with them?

Re: who is doing the following
I would like to preserve my dress...but it will depend on the condition it is in after the wedding day. Other than that probably nothing. The bakery that is making our cakes offers a free anniversary cake on the year anniversary which is what we will probably do instead of saving our cake.

I think I will, too. Not sure what I will do with my flowers once they are preserved - I might just hang them upside down like Jess did, I used to have flowers like that in my bedroom when I was a teenager from like every event ... and once they are dried I can frame them or something.
How much are those flower preserving kits, anyone know? And what do they do differently than drying them upside down does?

Preserve the dress, Gabbie! You never know - in a few years you might decide to have a baby, and maybe you'll want to use some of the fabric from your gown for a christening dress... its better to have it preserved even if the train is damaged, b/c it will prevent it from yellowing, etc.

Re: who is doing the following
my aunt froze my cake for me, it's in her freezer.....i didn't even get to eat any of it except for the bite we fed each other.
my flowers went in the trash a few days after but I did save the ribbon.
my dress is still hanging, dirty, outside my closet door. I need to get it cleaned and I want to preserve it.
