I am not doing this. I am basically the last of my friends to get married, so there won't be really any single ladies there. FH also doesn't want to do the garter thing.

I was at a wedding and one of the young bridesmaids caught the bouquet and an ugly 50+ year old guy caught the garter...the poor girl went hiding behind a chair because she didn't want him to touch her.

i've heard of weddings where whoever catches the bo-k and the garter wins a gift card or something, instead of the whole putting the garter on thing.

I have never heard of that but I LOVE that idea! I plan to do the tosses since I am one of the first of my friends to get married and because it's just tradition (I'm a traditional person). But love the 'prize' idea!

I am not doing either - both have made me uncomfortable at weddings so I don't want anyone to feel like that at my wedding

NO WAY!!!
I'm the last one to get married and I can't tell you how much I DETESTED always being called out by every bride at every wedding I went to to get up there and catch the bo-k.
My friend had all the married men in the room get up and threw the bo-k to them. If anything, I may do that. But probably not.

i dont think we will do this, there really isnt going to be many single poeple at all at our wedding so i dont think its necessary at our wedding
