Who is having a Day Of Coordinator?

I'm wondering if you girls are doing it... I really want one but need to convince FH... he used to drive limos and think that they are pushy and mean...

Also, if you could FM your price quotes, I'd appreciate it. I have no idea how much they charge!

I'm going to bring up the topic with FH in August. I want to, and he's usually a push-over with wedding stuff

not me, I am pretty organized & want to be in TOTAL control of my wedding...I am sure the day of the wedding, people that aren't in the BP ie aunts & uncles will be appointed jobs but other then that, I will run the entire show

Even though I am a wedding planner and so is my Matron of Honor I am still going to use one b/c i dont want anyone plus me worrying about anything. A good wedding planner will make u forget that there are any problems.

Wedding planners are not pushy just serious because they are so focused. They take all of your stress and put it on their backs.

I say go for one if it's in the budget. Good Luck!!!

At first I was going to use one. Then I opted not to. NOW, after the E-Party, which was SMALL in comparison to what our wedding will be (55 guests @ E-Party, min 160 guests @ wedding), I am reconsidering having one.

Our party was on saturday (the 23rd). I had taken off from work Thur and Fri to do cleaning, errands, picking up dad & step mom @ airport, etc. leaving ONLY work from 8:30-1, then hair and nails on Saturday. Needless to say, Saturday was the CRAZIEST of all days. I had wanted to arrive at the hall where the party was between 6:15 and 6:30 to set up the centerpieces.
(Side bar: I am a SUPER control freak. I get upset when things DON’T go my way.)
My hair took 2 hrs, not my scheduled 1 ½. I went home (salon is literally around the block from my house) ran around like a lunatic (so bad that Pedro, my cat, was hiding form me) grabbing things to take to the party. OH, and 15 min before my hair appt, I was finishing up extra favors. FH came to my house; we loaded up the car and headed to the hall. We arrived at 6:45! I had FH, my step-dad, my mom and my mom’s friend cutting roses, setting up centerpieces, putting out the extra favors, setting up guest book, etc. All the things I had wanted to do. I did a few things, and then headed into the ladies room to put on my dress and makeup. While in there I realized, it the rush, I had forgotten my jewelry at home! Also, the ONE other thing I wanted to do was get a CLOSE shave on my underarms (I know, EW!), forgot to do that, sent my mom to the banquet office for a disposable razor…she came back with a small straight edge razor blade (all they had), that was a sight!

All in all, I am SERIOUSLY reconsidering the DOC. I think it will put me more at ease, as well as FH. The ONLY reason I was calm and had an “I Don’t Give A F***” attitude and was able to enjoy my party, was on the ride to the hall, FH said to me “Calm down, there is NOTHING we can do. We’ll get there and do what we have to do” It made me feel better. I will say though, I will ONLY book a DOC I COMPLETELY trust and am comfortable with!!

we did and I am so happy about it...it will be such a help having her there doing the things i dont want to have to handle and i dont want my mom to either...i want my guest to enjoy and not worry

I am- never thought I would but so far I have realized that I need it!! We are having a littler more than doc but a little less than full planning- because fh really doesn't have time to help and I can't do it alone
