My matron of honor recently had a baby. I can't seem to get her on the phone or emails, which is totally understandable. My mother/mother in law are eager to help but I would like to have the opinion of someone who is in a similar state of mind/similar tastes. My fiance feels its the job of the bride to plan, but I hate doing this. Who is helping you plan?

FH and I are planning everything together except for dresses - he really couldn't care less what I chose for BM dresses lol. FH has been really good and we go together to look at vendors, but in the end he usually says 'whatever you want is fine with me.' Our parents have also been really supportive too and I like hearing their advice, although I might not necessarily take it.

So far I've been doing all the reasearch and then I'll show what I've found to my mother and my FH. I've been dragging them everywhere when I can so I have more opinions.

okay so I said Kellybean which is true, but then i realized that's not fair, b/c FH TRIES to help plan the wedding so i wanted to give him some credit. Especially since i just caught him going through a bridal magazine and an invite catalog when i wasnt even in the room.
he's adorable.
but for the most part, it's all me, and i'm losing my mind b/c of it.

mostly just me. I'm the first to get married out of all my friends (or at least to have a real wedding) no one knows what to do. no one in my family has been married since the 80s. I have to explain save the dates over & over. and the engagement shoot, no one understands what it is lol. fh comes along to appts but we have different tastes in everything. this site helps a lot! it's like a lifesaver lol. especially with my mom living out of state, along with my grandma.

mostly me but that will change. i wanted to elope and the agreement was that is we didnt elope because he dosent want to, then its all him to plan everything!

My FH is helping me with mostly everything. My mom is helping me with alot, she has great ideas and my FMIL is very involved as well. My MOH lives in Florida but she will be here in September for a week!!

I know my FH would if he could…but he’s overseas. My mom practically has an anxiety attack thinking about half of the wedding things and my MOH is lost in her own world. So my dad has been absolutely amazing. I don’t know what I would do without him; he’s the practical reality guy to my flights of fancy

I've done everything so far with FH and we plan to continue that way.
In my experience (especially with what I see going on with my sister's wedding) everyone offers to help but when it's time to call on them for help they're no where to be found.
In MY OPINION (don't mean to offend as I'm sure this is not the typical situation ) the people who offer to help only do so to be nice and sound good because they figured you're never really going to ask for their help. And then when you do they stumble over their own words grabbing for excuses.
BESIDES FH, the ONLY other people that I KNOW I can look to for help is my sister and my mother and for that alone I'm grateful.
lol okay vent over. Guess I just needed to get that off my chest.

Fh and I are planning everything ourselves. I do most of the research and leg work but he has come up with a lot of great ideas.
