Is anyone? Is it a must? A lot of other people in my department have invited our boss to their weddings, but I'm getting married out of the country.
Just curious what everyone else is planning!

It depends on your relationship with your boss! I've only been at my current job since Jan, and although we get along great, I'm not sure if I'll invite her.
My last job, I knew my boss well before I was working there and would have invited him if I was still there.

I am a teacher in a small school/day teratment center. I am not inviting my principal but I am inviting my direct supervisor. I was invited to her wedding and I do like her very much.

I am not working right now, but we are inviting FH's boss, I think he already has travel plans then (it is out of state) but would have come otherwise. I know the guy ---he is great!

I'm inviting my boss because we get along very well. Otherwise, it's not an obligation. I think it' should be based upon your personal relationship with them JMO.

I was going to, but decided against it. I don't think it's appropriate unless you are close to that person.

I was planning on inviting my principal, but I just got hired in another school district. So I won't be return to this school in the fall, my wedding is in August, so I don't know if I should still invite her or not
See thats another thing - I suppose I should have mentioned that I will not be returning to my job after the wedding (I'm moving out of state). So maybe I shouldn't invite him....I dont know what to do!!

I did but I'm hoping she won't come. I did it because it was the polite thing to do and didn't want to possibly pay for it in some other way later.
FH's boss and wife were invited but only his boss is coming and said he might not be able to stay for the entire day. We are getting married July 4th.

I'm inviting my bosses (I have 2 right now) as well as 1 of my former bosses (I had 2 before we reorganized). I doubt the most senior boss will come, but I hope the other 2 are able to attend. They are great!

okay get this i have two jobs one p/t i have been there for 8 years so not only am i inviting my boss and her husband but i have to invite all the other women i work with and there SO's. that is a table and a half. at my full time job i am inviting both of my bosses and two work friends thats it. but it is alot.
