I'm taking my FH last name. I like his last name and see it as fully 'coming together' Thats just my opinion though...I understand that people see it as their identity, but that's the whole point of getting married---two become ONE--the little stuff like last names shouldn't matter....but again TJMO I look forward to getting things addressed as Mr. & Mrs ---
and all the other stuff that goes along with changing your last name i guess hyphenating it is an option for career type reasons-

I am taking his name, but I always tease him that I am keeping mine, he really wants me to have his name...

I am keeping my last name professionally....
But I'll use his last name personally......

I've worked really hard to build a name in my very small industry, and I want to keep it. FH's TOTALLY fine with it. Almost all of the women in my business use their maiden names.

At first I thought I would hyphenate but that just seems like it would get annoying. So I think I am going to use my name professionally and his name everywhere else. I just can't completely let go of my name especially because my name is much nicer than his .

legally i'm changing my name to his - but for my career, i'll be using my maiden name. i have too many contacts that know me by my maiden name. maybe i'll hypenate for a year and then switch to my married, once everyone is used to seeing it. haven't 100% decided yet!

I'm keeping mine, but will use his socially. I like mine better, I'm used to it. I don't think I'll change any of my legal documents.

I have not done it officially yet, but I will be moving my maiden name and making it my middle name. Hubby's last name is already hyphenated so that's where that stands

Changing to his, couldnt see it any other way for me, i wouldnt want to have a different last name than my kids either, It will be difficult professionally though

I legally hypenated but I have not changed one thing yet. Professionally I will never change my name.

I guess I'm pretty traditional in that I plan to take my FH's name. I have thought about hyphenating it, but I don't like the way it sounds. I kind of look forward to taking his name, although I think it will take some getting used to.

I just want to add his name to mine without the hyphen. But since I'm going to be an attorney, I think I may legally have to use ALL the names everytime I sign a document. Ideally, I would like to use his name for personal stuff and my name professionally. As you can see I'm undecided and still confused

I'm changing my name, but it will be an adjustment, especially at work. My best friend just got married and kept her maiden name. It's all about what you feel comfortable with. Luckily my FI has a decent last name!!
