Who is walking you down the aisle?

My parents are divorced and both are remarried. I'm close to my step dad but NOT my step mother. Since it's tradition my father will walk me down and because I'm VERY close to my mother she will too - one on each side. Then after the ceremony they will leave with their respective partners.

I am hoping to have my dad walk me down the aisle, but unfortunately family issues might get in the way of that, even though the wedding is still 11 months away.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to go about asking someone else to do the honor? Should it revert to my older brother by default or would it be rude to ask my fiancee's and my best friend?

My parents are divorced, so I plan to have both walk me down. The only thing is I need to see if we will all fit in the aisle at the church. I have this sick feeling that with three people it will very cramped. Just crossing my fingers it isn't.
