My parents are divorced and my mother was more of an impact in my life but my dad is paying for part of the wedding, so I am having them both walk me down.

My parents have been married for 52 years and have 6 kids. My first wedding was just my Dad. This time I want them both to. I think my Mom is secretly very pleased.

I am in the EXACT same boat. I'm not sure what to do. If I don't have my dad walk me down the aisle, it'll start a lot of crap, and to tell you the truth, I'd rather not stir up anything. But I am DEFINATELY NOT doing the father/daughter dance. I think I like your idea a lot.

That is such a nice idea. My brother will be walking me down. My dad passed away 3 years ago. I love my brother to pieces, so it means so much to me to have him walk me down.

My birth father is ill and couldn't make the long trip.He was heartbroken.My stepfather walked me down.I love him.He's like a father to me.

My dad is - but if my mom was still alive I wanted her to walk me down too. I don't really know how either of them would heave felt about it but I think they would have liked it.
