Who is wearing a blusher Veil?

See I think this is why I didn't want to wear it. After reading some of your responses I am sad. My father passed away in 9/2003. I have that in my mind that is his moment to lift up the veil and pass me off.
I guess If I totally explained to my mom in law she would understand. I am just an emotional person and am having a hard time with this.

Its your decision if you want to wear the blusher.
Its your day not your FMILs day.... she had hers already.

I did, to me I wanted it for my dad for all the things he did the least I could do was have it for him to lift

But its definitely a personal choice

aw I am so sorry. You could always do the REALLY traditional way of wearing it over your face for the whole ceremony and then having FH lift it up for the first kiss.... but if you really don't want to, there's no reason you should.

I think a lot of people do, I didn't because it felt really weird to me with it on, and I asked FH, and he said he thought it was weird and creepy....so I didn't do it. If my dad was disappointed he didn't say anything about it....I also wanted a really simple single layer veil....

I feel the same way, it makes me feel claustrophobic and I've never felt that way before! FH doesn't care, and I still have to ask Dad but I highly doubt he will care. Mom and sis are upset though they are a pain!

I'm sure your Dad will be so proud to see your nephew be your strong escort on your wedding day!

I hear you...mom is walking me down the aisle and lifting the veil for me...couldn't be happier...dad passed away also....you will make the best decision

I'm not going to, but you should only wear the blusher if YOU want to! Don't let anyone else talk you into doing something you don't want to do - it's YOUR day, not theirs
