that getting my hair and makeup done for my E-shoot would be so hard. I'm not a girly girl so when it comes to makeup and hair I will have someone do it for me. Most salons in my area are closed on Mondays. I've called makeup artists recommended to me and they want to charge 75 and up. I really don't want open more than 50 on my makeup. It's really just for the shoot and that's it. I'm not going anywhere after so to me to spend that much on makeup I think is a little much.

I just called and made an appt at Sephora in the Smith Haven mall to have my makeup done for E-pics. It's the same as the Mac counter in that you have to spend $50 but I'm happier to spend that money and get products than to just pay someone and get nothing in return. I've also read that depending on the store Sephora will let you put it on a gift card so you don't have to spend it all at once.

I'm having this exact problem!! I'm doing e-pics this monday and i totally forgot that every salon is closed on monday. Was thinking I'll just do it myself but maybe i'll try to go to the mall to the sephora counter.

You're not alone. I didn't realize that most people get their hair & make up done for EPics! I was so relieved to book my shoot, having to work around four different schedules, location, etc (we want something very specific for our shoot), and after booking the locations and a sigh of relief, my MOH asks, so where are you getting your hair & make up done? I have to work the day of my EPics, and thought I'd be getting ready before & at work since my office is dead around the holidays, but now I'm having second thoughts. I'm not going to stress it until it gets closer to the date though. =\

I am using Christina Amador for makeup. You can schedule a traditional makeup trial with her for $50.

I'm getting a haircut the day before which I would have needed around that time anyway. I try and get it cut the day before events so I already know it will look just as good after sleeping on it. If I wasn't getting a cut I would have just straightened it myself.

Thanks Ladies, I'm going to make an appointment with the salon I went to for my brother's wedding. They are actually open on Mondays imagine that. She has a makeup person that will come in as well to do my makeup. I'm basically just going to get my hair blown out straight. I have short hair so there is not much that can be done with it.

I did this and it worked out great! Just make sure to give yourself a little extra time. The girl told me the MAC store policy is if someone walks into the store and needs help finding a product, they have to go help that person even though you have an appointment. I went on a day when they were short staffed, so my makeup took awhile.

On a positive note, I actually ended up having to return one of the products I bought, so my makeup cost me around $25 lol

def give extra time! last time I got my makeup done at Mac I ended up being there almost 4 hours!!! she had to keep helping people, never again. I was an hour late to my girl's engagement party. plus my phone didn't get reception and FH thought I had gotten kidnapped lol. really he was about to go file a police report. then again that was a Saturday & the mall was busy..... so it might not always be so crazy.

And the stuff I bough was basically the lip stick and gloss bc it was hoing to wear off and I really liked it. I had fake eye lashes put on so if you do that the cost of the eye lashes will contribute to the $50.

I did not get my hair done, but I have easy hair to make look done up. My mom set it in hot rollers and I just let it sit until they cool. We took ou pics at the beach and it was soooo windy so my hair was a hot mess anyway lol

I am not. On the day of I want someone who will come to me and use airbrush. I still have figure out day of makeup.
